Tracing consists of a growing series of deteriorating images of iconic figures. Copying every previous image by tracing it as accurately as possible, and repeating this process, inevitably makes the image deconstruct over time. Tiny mistakes and deviations that occur when tracing are incorporated in the following drawings. The accumulative effect of these little errors changes the shape of the original completely. The installation comprises three series of 200 drawings, each also transposed to a three and a half minute film loop.
