The app contains routes that connect art, heritage, culture and nature to tell the story of a region or city. ‘De Halvezolenroute’ tells the story of de Langstraat, a region in Brabant that flourished in the leather industry. The animation I made for this route is based on filmfootage from the regional archives and is tailored for watching on phones. Who is Saint Crispin, the patron saint of tanners and leather workers, and what is his place in the life of the ‘Langstraters’?
