Weaving Time
Info
The installation Weaving Time was created for the MRK museum in Uden. It consists of three vertical screens side by side, showing three different animated films made out of the exact same footage.
We see a number of ritual activities that take place during one day, and how this day is repeated over the course of a lifetime according to the same pattern.
Due to the repetitive nature of rituals, separate moments in time eventually coincide. which takes us out of horizontal, chronological time and gives us access to a vertical perception of time (the eternal). By arranging the animated footage in various ways, these different dimensions of time are revealed within the same event.
